Café Restaurant Deka

At Deka, we take pride in serving hearty, delicious Georgian food in our cosy café-restaurant. With its large wood-burning fire and stunning mountain views, the space is the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of adventures. Whether you’re here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we’ve got freshly-made meals and a selection of drinks to help you refuel.

Supplies come by horse or helicopter from the valley below, making every meal here feel hard-earned. At 3020m above sea level, our café-restaurant is one of the few places where both the food and the views are truly worth the climb.

What’s on offer:

• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with traditional Georgian favourites, all made fresh daily.
• Freshly brewed coffee: enjoy an Americano, cappuccino, or espresso made just the way you like it.
• Hot chocolate made with real melted chocolate.
• A sweet alpine treat – Deka’s apple strudel.
• A well-stocked bar with local beer, wine, and spirits, including Georgian chacha.

Whether you’re a day visitor or staying the night, you can grab a bite in our main dining hall or sit outside on the terrace and take in the breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek and Khde Gorge.

With room for up to 50 people, our spacious dining area has a warm, laid-back vibe, complete with sofas and a roaring fire in the centre. The atmosphere is perfect for swapping stories of the day’s adventures or just relaxing with a drink.

Menu highlights

Breakfast (7:00 – 9:00 AM)

• Omelettes, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages

Dinner (6:00 – 8:00 PM)

• Hearty vegetable or meat soups
• Georgian-style rice with salmon, beef stew with potatoes, or buckwheat with chicken 
• Fresh salads, bread and cheese plates
• Khachapuri (traditional Georgian bread)

Our kitchen is stocked daily with fresh ingredients from Stepantsminda, delivered by horse or helicopter, ensuring that everything you eat is as fresh as it is delicious.
