How to get to the alpine hut ‘DEKA’ ?
Deka is in the Stepantsminda region at the bottom of MT Kazbek 3020 m. from sea level.
After arriving in Stepantsminda you have to get to the Sameba church, there is parking. From there you must take the path to the hut. It is possible to walk or use a horse in summer. Walking at an average pace from parking to the hut takes about 3 – 3.5 hours.

Is there internet?
There is internet connection at the restaurant.
Is there electricity and the possibility to charge the phone ?
There is solar panel generated electricity in every room and it is possible to charge a phone, although in bad weather and at night electricity may go out due low battery storage.
Can we bring domestic animals into the hut?
Domestic animals are not allowed in the hut.
How many beds are in the rooms?
There are 4 and 6 bed rooms.
Is it possible to choose and book the specific bed in the room?
You can’t choose and book the room you want
Will I get my money back if I cancel booking
In case you cancel booking 45 day before we will return all amount , if you cancel booking less than 45 day -the non-returnable booking fee is 40 euros
Can I bring my own food and drinks to a terrace or restaurant?
It’s not allowed to bring your own food and drinks to DEKA.
